The mission of the United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee (UNCOM) is to strengthen city neighborhoods by partnering with our member organizations and enhancing their assets to improve the quality of life for urban families.
Building Strong Interdependent Communities
The United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee (UNCOM) is a unique resource collaborative dedicated to strengthening the lives of Milwaukee’s urban families. We work with neighborhood organizations to provide services and create opportunities that empower individuals and build strong interdependent communities. This unprecedented structured collaboration of eight tightly affiliated neighborhood centers empowers UNCOM to combine its forces, to advocate for systematic change, serve as a trusted communication conduit for community residents, and build cases for strategic government and private investments in programs and institutions that help build strong and healthy families, accelerate prosperity, and make our city better for all residents.

Building strong, healthy, engaged, educated families are fundamental to the stability, prosperity and safety in our neighborhoods and local communities. In partnership with our member agencies, we engage the power of our collaborative resources to strengthen city neighborhoods and help create solutions to the myriad of problems facing urban families. UNCOM is committed to accomplishing this enormous task by providing a variety of strategic services to our member agencies and sponsoring innovative community-centered programs.
